Is Coaching therapy or Counseling?

No, Coaching is not therapy but it may be considered therapeutic in that a coach is attentive, non judgmental, a very careful listener, and supportive allowing clients to speak out, to vent and safe important matters within their organizations or their lives. However, there are so many differences between coaching and the practice of therapy or counseling. Coaches do not diagnose, prescribe treatment or medications or focus on the roots of an individuals problems, ie childhood influences and or other deep seated or engrained variables.

Conflict management coaching is similar to other forms of coaching, it is present and future focused, it is action orientated and usually it is usually short term in duration.

Conflict coaching is aimed at helping people optimize their potential to reach their goals and objectives set by the clients regarding their conflicts, it is designed to find better ways of managing their situation in an organization or within their own personal lives.

Is there such a thing as being not coachable?

Conflict resolution coaching is a voluntary process, it cannot be imposed on any organization or person who is unwilling to participate. Those who choose to engage coaching may end the process anytime if they think it is not working for them. We will also assess during initial intakes etc. as to whether the coaching is appropriate or beneficial for a potential client. Lastly coaching is not appropriate as a punitive or disciplinary action for organizations to use or for individuals who identified for dismissal.

After completion of our assessment system you will be start our 5 Star Medallion system designed to help you gain strategies for coping with difficult, confusing times and gain techniques and tools to move you forward toward positive changes in your life as you take aim at gaining a better future. We also use hypnosis for positive change where we think it necessary and requested by the client(s). Our process will assist you to define your objectives, recognize what has been holding you back, and then move forward with clarity and purpose to achieve fulfilling personal growth.
